Online article writing and marketing has grown astronomically over the last five years. Now there are websites with article directories in excess of 50,000 articles and one that I know of with over a million. And the number of authors and writers that participate has also grown exponentially as well. Unfortunately, when something grows this fast there is a need to control it, and that means rules need to be tightened to prevent chaos or collapse of the venue.
Today, seo or Search Engine Optimization writers are flooding the Internet with content, much of it is junk. They post these articles online at article submission site directories. A few of these online article directory sites are careful to reject key work stuffed articles, as well they should, especially when an abusive Internet marketer comes along.
Recently, a very caring writer noted that it was hard for her to write articles in her specific niche, without duplicating keywords over and over again. Indeed, I feel this author’s pain, especially when she is not an seo keyword stuffer, she is a legitimate writer of important articles stuffed with great information for the human race.
When we make rules anywhere in society to stop a few bad apples and enforce them onto perfectly good citizens or in this case writers without regard to the intent of the rules or genuine legitimacy of the individual who does no harm, we all lose.
The true solution to this dilemma of sorting out the seo trash articles and the good ones is to have a by-pass for legitimate authors who occasionally go over the rule due to the need to accurately describe what they are talking about. Article submission sites should consider this and perhaps implement such a system. To ask the writer to submit substitute words that do not do justice to their work is actually hurting the public, the reader and the entire reason of the Internet; to share human information.
For The Industry: I recommend that rather than making more rules to torment writers with rejection notices or teach them how to work within these artificial rules that someone work to solve the problem, website directories that do this will flourish and be loved. We should ditch the seo writers who abuse, and allow the legitimate article authors to run free. That way the industry can have both compliance and fairness to all concerned. Think on this!
