Know More About a Well-Known Teledyne LeCroy:

Initially LeCroy Corporation, the company was acquired by Teledyne Technologies in August of 2012. LeCroy subsequently became a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies as per the Agreement and Plan of Merger approved by LeCroy stockholders. Both LeCroy Corporation and Teledyne Technologies are traded on the NYSE at the time of the merger. In consequence, Teledyne acquired all of LeCroy’s outstanding common shares. The acquisition was reported at $291 million, with all stock options and stock appreciation rights inclusive in the reported amount.

The product line consists of oscilloscope, oscilloscope probes, protocol analyze, pert, waveform generators, logic analyzer, SPARQ signal integrity network analyzer, and signal integrity studio. Oscilloscope is tools used by designers and engineers to measure and analyze complex electronic signals in order to develop high-performance systems and to validate electronic designs in order to improve time to market. These offer a powerful combination of large and informative displays combined with advanced wave shape analysis capabilities. Their protocol analyzer is utilized to generate and monitor traffic over high-speed serial data interfaces. Such interfaces are DDR, PCI Express, Fiber Channel, Serial ATA, and SAS, among several others not mentioned. The company’s proprietary technology allows their consumers to make optimal use of their chips, interfaces, and subsystems.

In recent news, Teledyne LeCroy introduced an enhancement to its TeleScan PE, which is a configuration space for scanning and editing software applications that support the PCI Express 3.0 technology. The enhanced product can now support system scan, read, write, and also register decoding features for the new M-PCIe specification, which was also released earlier in the year (2013). The new TeleScan PE technology utilized a very complex graphical user interface that shows PCIe bus information in tree-structure format while including both textual information and register diagrams. This system supports PCIe 1.1, 2.0, and 3.0 technologies. It will also support host machines that run on Microsoft Windows 7 or 8 as well as Linux Systems. Teledyne LeCroy is continuing to produce support tools for PCI Express computing applications. They have also unveiled the new SFF-8639 dual port interposers for analysis of dual ported solid state drives on the PCI express protocol.

Furthermore, they upgraded the Super speed USB 3.0 protocol analyzer platform as well as the DDR protocol analyzer, which adds “Row Hammer” reporting and system memory mapping. Another notable accomplishment is that they were able to successfully demonstrate the first ever 100 GHz real-time oscilloscope, an advancement in the industry and for oscilloscope, one of their core competencies.
