Ways to Siphon Traffic
Having a good website and or blog is not all you need to get tons of visitors, because if you do not make your website/blog visible by getting traffic to your website or blog you will be invisible in cyber space. It is like saying anyone can contact you by visiting your home, but if people don’t know where you live they cannot visit, no matter how much they might like to.
Running a business on-line is in many ways the same as running one offline, you advertise your business offline and you have to advertise your business online that is if you want to make any sales.
To get you started with getting traffic online this is my list of proven methods to siphon traffic to you website or blogs.
One: Submitting you website or blog to the search engines.
You can do this by either using one of the many services available online, you can do it yourself manually, you can buy or find a free piece of software by searching the net, and if you can afford to purchase the best one for your needs. It is always a good idea to swap links with other blogs or website whenever you can. Do not forget when using your own submission software to include all your website page links. Everything that links back to your main page should be included for the best results.
Two: Advertising using pay-per-click targeted Ads with Google, Yahoo, and Facebook etc.
You will find a lot of websites that will put an advert on their site for you to do an advert swap or a banner exchange as pay-per-click can turn out to be an expensive method.
Three: Links; author interesting good articles and people will click on your website blog link, banner exchange links or using any social networks that you use. It is a good idea to do as much of this as possible before submitting to search engines.
Four: Social Networking such as Twitter, Facebook or My-space etc.
You should let all your friends know what you have produced by popping the link into your for example ‘What is happening’ option on your social networking page.
Five: Viral networking, videos, audios, articles all of which you can have links back to your website and will bring you traffic.
These are just a handful of ways I siphon traffic to my websites and blogs. I know too many to list here, but the ones I have mentioned above are my favourites, hope this helps and good luck with you endeavours.
