I don’t know if you have realized, but there are thousands of different hosting companies – all offering a different range of services and more importantly, different pricing structures. So where do you find the cheapest web host, and how do you make sure that it is backed by a reliable and solid company?
The web hosting industry has come a long way over the last couple of years and with the introduction of a lot more competition we have seen a dramatic drop in pricing even with the majority of the largest hosting companies. Owning multiple websites myself, I have done a lot of research t find the perfect host for me and I wanted to share some of the best places to find a cheap and easy to use host for your website.
1. The Search Engines
Search engines are usually the first place to start when looking for anything, and hosting is no different. Using search terms such as ‘best web host’, cheapest web hosts’, or it you are looking a host for your blog then search for ‘best blog host’.
This will give you a great list to start your research.
2. Website Reviews
Once you have got a short list of hosting companies that you are interested in then when not search for reviews of those hosts from the people actually using them. A lot of the major hosting companies have half a million domains hosted – which means that they have a lot of clients. And the good thing is that a lot of hosting clients are vocal about their host and are willing to share their experience (both good and bad) – and this is a great way to get honest reviews.
